The next election for all Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council and Town and Parish Council seat (if contested) will be on Thursday 2 May 2019.

A European Parliamentary Election will take place on Thursday, 23 May 2019.

Most people are registered at their current address, but you need to check if you have recently moved house, changed your name or nationality, or recently turned 18. If you are unsure if you are registered, you can email

  • Deadline to apply for a postal vote: 5pm on 15 April 2019
  • Deadline to apply for a proxy vote: 5pm on 24 April 2019

Important information about polling stations and new wards - check your poll card

As a result of a 2018 boundary review by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, for the borough election on 2 May 2019 there will be 70 seats and 45 wards.

All wards but three have changed and one ward has been removed. Many people will be going to a new polling station.

There are also five fewer council seats.

When your poll card arrives, check the polling station information and the ward.
