Information for consumers
Citizens Advice
The Citizens Advice Consumer Service is the first point of contact for all Trading Standards queries in the UK.
Advice can be provided online or by telephone.
- Submit a consumer query to the Citizens Advice Consumer Service online
- Contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Service helpline
The Citizens Advice Consumer Service provides consumer advice and refers complex enquiries, urgent enquiries and those requiring further action to our Regulatory Services department.
If you are outside of the UK contact the UK European Consumer Centre.
Please note
Advice and assistance can only be offered by our Trading Standards in civil cases if the consumer is vulnerable for example due to their age, learning or language difficulties. Our Trading Standards department works closely with the Citizens Advice Consumer Service who refer enquiries of vulnerable consumers directly to us for action.
UK European Consumer Centre for Services
