Adult Social Care rated Good by the Care Quality Commission

Adult Social Care services in Cheshire West and Chester have been rated Good following a recent assessment by the Care Quality Commission (CQC)
The CQC praised the dedication and compassion of staff, noting the positive experiences shared by residents and carers. Inspectors highlighted our person-centred approach, the strong relationships built with communities and partners, and the way we work creatively to meet people’s needs.
The report also recognised the strength of our ‘One Council’ approach, with equality, diversity and inclusion highlighted as particular areas of excellence.
While the assessment identified improvements still needed – such as more consistent support for unpaid carers, shorter waiting times and clearer information – progress is already under way in all of these areas.
This positive outcome reflects the hard work of staff across the Council and our shared commitment to supporting people to live great lives.
