BMX track gears up after improvements

Cheshire West and Chester Council has just finished a range of improvements to Mount Pleasant BMX track in Winsford.

The entire track has been surfaced, covering 842m2, using compacted limestone dust. Other work including the start gate and vegetation removal was also carried out.

The Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, Councillor Adam Langan said:

The resurfacing of the track was arranged following feedback from children and young people during a visit by council officers. Everyone said it was in need of a top up and local members’ budgets were able to fund the work.

The popular course is an ideal track for learning or improving BMX bike riding skills. The course features demanding turns and technical rhythm section, a challenge for riders of all skill levels.

The BMX track is easily accessible by public transportation, with Winsford train station located just 1.5 miles away. Other nearby public transportation options include the Winsford bus station (1 mile away) and the Winsford Cross Shopping Centre Bus Stop (0.5 miles away).
