Business rate revaluation coming into effect from April 2026

February 5, 2026
Average read time: 1 minute

The Valuation Office Agency has reviewed and updated the rateable values of all non-domestic properties. These new values will be used to calculate business rates bills from April 2026.

A change in your rateable value does not always mean your bill will change by the same amount. Your final bill depends on the national multiplier and any reliefs that apply.

The Valuation Office Agency is responsible for valuations and appeals. The Council is responsible for issuing business rates bills and applying any reliefs.
