Further update on A556 Shurlach Road, Lostock Gralam

The A556 Shurlach Road emergency road closure remains in place as further excavations and investigations are continuing to repair the drainage collapse.

Due to the health and safety requirements for the depth of the excavations and the complexity of the works, it is expected that the road will need to remain closed until at least to the end of this week.

The Council is aware that these works are causing significant disruption to the surrounding roads in Northwich but we are working hard to re-open the road as soon as possible. Thanks you for your patience and support while these emergency works take place.

Further updates will be given as soon as more information is available on the expected timescales for the road to be re-open.
