GCSE results success for Cheshire West and Chester young people

After receiving their GCSE examination results, young people across Cheshire West and Chester have been celebrating their success.

This is testament to hard work and dedication to their studies, and comes with recognition that this cohort of students has shown real resilience, despite the disruption to the start of their secondary education being impacted by the Covid pandemic.

 

This success is also a result of the support of committed staff within schools who have challenged the borough's young people to secure the best possible outcomes. Parents and carers will be equally proud of the achievements seen today and the Council acknowledges the importance of the support and encouragement they have provided.

However, this week may not be a time of celebration for everyone.
