Help people live independently in the community by donating equipment
Cheshire West and Chester Council is calling for anyone with community equipment they no longer need to return it so it can be reused.
The Council is helping make sure any of this unwanted equipment can be reused to support people to live independently for longer in their own homes in the community.
Any equipment will be marked with a Ross Care sticker and cleaned and prepared for reuse, reducing the need to buy new equipment in future.
Items that can be returned and reused include the following.
- Hospital beds and hoists
- Walking frames
- Commodes
- Toilet surrounds
- Shower seats
- Bed transfer aids
- Crutches
- Furniture raisers
Councillor Val Armstrong, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Public Health, said:
Anyone with equipment that is no longer needed is invited to call: 0151 653 6000, email: ces@rosscare.co.uk or visit Ross Care’s website to arrange a collection.
The equipment will then be picked up by a Ross Care engineer within five working days for free of charge, while it can also be dropped off with prior arrangement at: Unit 7 Artis Park, Winsford Industrial Estate, Winsford, CW7 3QE.
