New Mayor of Ellesmere Port

Councillor Gareth Gould was invested as Mayor of Ellesmere Port at a ceremony in Ellesmere Port Civic Hall on Wednesday, 7 June.
The new mayor has announced that his chosen charities, which he will support during the year, are Youth Fed, Chapter and the Ellesmere Port Family & Local History Society.
Speaking after his inauguration Cllr Gould said:
It is a huge honour for me to be the new Mayor of Ellesmere Port. I look forward to supporting my chosen charities to help them continue in their efforts to support the well-being of local residents and connecting with our history and heritage. I will do my best to support community activities that promote the health and well-being of our children, young people, families, and individuals across generations at work, study and leisure, to make a contribution to build back community better after the pandemic and to build resilience for the future. I ask for the support of residents with these endeavours.
