Residents across Cheshire West are invited to come together this November to remember and honour the servicemen and women who have sacrificed so much in the service of their country.

A wide range of Remembrance events will take place across the borough, organised by local councils, churches, veterans' organisations and community groups. Cheshire West and Chester Council has published details of a number of ceremonies and services that have been brought to its attention, and residents are encouraged to support events within their local communities.

In Chester, the annual Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service will take place at Chester Cathedral and Chester War Memorial, providing an opportunity for veterans, civic representatives, uniformed organisations and residents to pay their respects. The Cathedral Service commences at 10.15am with the Act of Remembrance at 10.50am. An Armistice Day Service will also be held on Wednesday, 11 November at Chester Cathedral commencing at 10.50am marking the moment the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War.

Councillor Robert Bisset, Chair of Cheshire West and Chester Council, said:
