The Council has joined forces with Cheshire and Merseyside-wide public health body Champs Public Health Collaborative to share helpful mental health resources in the lead up to this day, which takes place on Sunday, 10 October.

People living and working in west Cheshire are being urged to #BeKindtoYourMind as part of a campaign in the lead up to World Mental Health Day.

The Council has joined forces with Cheshire and Merseyside-wide public health body Champs Public Health Collaborative to share helpful mental health resources in the lead up to this day, which takes place on Sunday, 10 October.

It comes as people continue to live and work through a pandemic, with the associated challenges that this has involved, including the potential impact of a prolonged period of stress on people’s mental health.

The campaign, which is being led by the Champs Public Health Collaborative, links into and supports the national Every Mind Matters campaign, organised by Public Health England.

Wellbeing is one of the Council’s priorities, with the aim of enabling more people to live longer, healthier and happier lives. Further support can be accessed via the Council’s Five Ways to Wellbeing campaign, available via:

The Council also has its Live Well website and more resources can be found at:

Starting quotation marks
It’s so important to look after our mental health, particularly as we continue to live and work through a pandemic with all of the added pressures and worries that this brings. The #BeKindtoYourMind campaign is a useful reminder to us all to make our mental health a priority - as well as our physical health – and to explore ways that we can help ourselves, as well as signposting people to further sources of support.

There are many useful resources on the Kind to Your Mind website, and so we would urge people to click on the link and have a read. Resources available via the website include access to online therapy and details of mental health crisis helplines, including specialist support for children and young people and frontline workers.
