Overview
It is advised that parents and carers arrange to visit the preferred schools prior to making an application, as once the place is offered, it may not be possible to accommodate a change of preference later in the process.
The closing date for all applications is 15 January 2023. Please take into consideration when posting a paper application allowing enough time for the application to reach us by the closing date.
Any applications received after this date will be treated as a late application unless the local authority considers that there are good reasons for the application being late.
Late applications can only be considered once all on time applications are processed and so parents and carers applying late will not receive an outcome until several weeks after national offer day.
- 1 September 2022 - parents/carers can apply for a school place
- 15 January 2023 - closing date for application
- 20 February 2023 - deadline for supporting information
- 17 April 2023 - notification of offers
- 18 May 2023 - closing date for appeals
