Fancy lettering that says "The Science of Santa and the Star of Bethlehem"

How many laws of physics does Santa break? Santa is (allegedly) a portly, jolly fellow with a white beard and a penchant for wearing red suits. Although displaying questionable fashion sense, this does not mean that he cannot exist. What about the claims made regarding his incredible feats? And, while we're at it, what are the astronomical candidates for the Star of Bethlehem? How well do they fit the account? Do known events fit the timeline of the nativity?

Dr Steve Barrett from the University of Liverpool takes a light-hearted look at the science behind Christmas. Ideal for adults and interested teens.

Tea, coffee and biscuits (perhaps even a mince pie) will be included.
