Join the library

If you live, work or study in Cheshire West you can join our libraries free of charge. 

Becoming a member of the library allows you to borrow books from any of our libraries and use public computers for one hour free of charge each day.

You will also have 24/7 access to Borrowbox, our digital eLending service, for eBooks, eAudiobooks, eNewspapers and eMagazines.

Collecting your library card

Once you have applied to join the library, please visit your local library within one month to collect your library card. You will then be able to borrow and reserve books as well as use our digital services.

Using digital services

If you would like to use our digital services (eBooks, eAudiobooks, eNewspapers, eMagazines) before you collect your library card, you may request a temporary library card number. This will give you access to our digital services for up to one month. After this period you will have to collect your library card in person at your local library to continue using our digital services.
