Public speaking at planning committee
You must contact the Development Management Service to let them know that you want to speak at a Planning Committee meeting. In order to speak, you must submit your representations on the relevant planning application, in writing, to the Head of Development Management at least 14 days before the Committee meeting you want to speak at. It will not be possible to speak at a Committee meeting unless you’ve registered your wish to speak, in writing, in advance.
To speak at a Planning Committee meeting, you must also register to speak at the meeting, after you’ve submitted your representations to the Head of Development Management. The deadline for registering to speak at any Committee meeting is 12 noon on the working day before the Committee meeting you want to speak at..
If you try to register after this deadline, or if you don’t register to speak, you will not be allowed to speak at a Committee meeting.

Making a request to speak at Planning Committee

Committee papers are published five days prior to a Committee date. It is not possible for you to register your intentions before the Committee papers are published, nor with any officer other than the nominated officers. Committee papers can be obtained from the Planning minutes and agendas page on this website by selecting the relevant Committee.
