Report a missed waste or recycling collection
Please note: Our waste and recycling collection service is currently being affected by adverse weather conditions. The scheduled collections will continue to be made, however the current high winds could result in spillages and containers being blown around.
This means that you need to ensure that all boxes and bins are presented with lids on to contain the materials. If you don’t have a lid, you can order a new one free of charge. Please attempt to secure the items inside the boxes in another way. You also need to ensure that the lid on your wheeled bin is closed and secure. Please try to collect your bins after collection as soon as possible.
Before you report a missed collection
Missed collections must be raised within three working days of the collection date.
Was your bin put out for collection before 7am on collection day? Our crews have until 6pm to collect your waste.
If your bin has been missed, but others were emptied please report it online. As you complete the form you will see collection service information for your street, which may help you identify the issue.
If it looks like the whole street is waiting for a collection, it may be that the crew is delayed or had to change route.
Containers need to be left at your collection point for emptying.
Common reasons collections are missed
Sometimes bins and boxes are left unemptied if they contain the wrong type of waste.
Crews will not collect extra waste such as bin bags placed out along with domestic or garden bins.
Crews will not collect bins that are too heavy, due to the risk of damage or injury to the collection crew, the container or the bin lorry.
