Who will own my data once I submit it?
Ourselves and Cheshire East Council will own your data once it has been submitted.
The Transactional Service Centre (TSC) is a shared service operated on behalf of Cheshire West and Chester, and Cheshire East Councils and associated companies. It is hosted by us.
Why do you need my information?
We are a shared service who process invoices/payments on behalf of us, Cheshire East Council and associated companies.
We store your information so that we are able to pay you for services you have supplied to these organisations.
We will use the information you have provided in connection with:
- the administration and payment of monies owed to you by the organisations
- correspondence with you regarding those payments and the way we do business with you.
What allows you to use my information?
When we process your personal information for the payment of good and services, we are doing so under a contract which is a valid basis under Article 6, part e of the General Data Protection Regulation.

We require your information in order to pay you for goods and services.
Who will my information be shared with?
Your data is processed by the Transaction Service Centre on behalf of us and Cheshire East Council organisation and their associated companies and depending on the data and your status it could be shared with:
- relevant Council departments within the organisations
- health partners (where applicable)
- law enforcement agencies (debtors)
- National Fraud Initiative
The Transaction Service Centre is required by law to protect the public funds we administer, therefore, we may share information that you provide with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds, in order to prevent and detect fraud.
Do I have to provide this information and what will happen if I don't?
In most cases you will have to provide your information in order for a service/payment to be created and made to your name, address and bank details. The information is collected and held to ensure that you are paid for goods/services provided.
How long will you keep this data for and why?
Your data will be stored for a set timescale, dependent on the specific data retention schedule for that service e.g. Financial Information equals a statutory requirement of seven years. Other services may require longer.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- your right of access - you have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information
- your right to rectification - you have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
- your right to erasure - you have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances
- your right to restriction of processing - you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances
- tour right to data portability - you have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances
You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
