Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

A Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is a comprehensive assessment of the current and future health, wellbeing, and social care needs of a local population. It brings together evidence from a range of sources to identify key issues, inequalities, and emerging trends, helping partners across health, social care, the voluntary sector, and local government to make informed decisions about priorities, service planning, and resource allocation.

To support a more focused and accessible analysis, our JSNA has been structured into a series of themed chapters, with each theme exploring a specific aspect of population need.
