Adoption
The Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies was adopted at a meeting of Full Council on 18 July 2019.

The development plan is made up of the Local Plan (Part One) Strategic Policies, the Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies and any made Neighbourhood Plans. See the adopted development plan page for further information.
Examination
Roisin Barrett MSc BSc (Hons) Dip UD Dip Hist Cons MRTPI IHBC was appointed as inspector to conduct the independent examination to determine whether the Cheshire West and Chester Local Plan (Part Two) Land Allocations and Detailed Policies is sound.
The hearings for the examination were held between Tuesday 18 September 2018 and Thursday 27 September 2018.

Submission
The Local Plan and all supporting documents were submitted to the Secretary of State on Monday 12 March 2018. This followed the formal approval of the submission documents by a meeting of the Council on 1 March 2018.

Publication Draft consultation
The Council published its Draft Local Plan for a seven week consultation period which ended at 5pm on Monday, 29 January 2018. All representations received during the consultation period were submitted to the Secretary of State at the submission stage mentioned above.
