On Thursday, 2 May 2024, an election took place across Cheshire to elect the next Police and Crime Commissioner for the Cheshire Police Area.

The Cheshire Police Area is made up of the local authority areas of Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton and Warrington.

The deadline to register to vote for this election is 11.59pm Tuesday, 16 April 2024.

The deadline to apply:

  • for a new postal vote, or to change an existing postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday, 17 April 2024.
  • for a proxy vote is 5pm on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.
  • for a voter authority certificate is 5pm on Wednesday, 24 April 2024.
