The Council is inviting residents to attend one of two drop-in sessions at Thelwell Road Community Centre, Ellesmere Port, running from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday 31 July and Thursday 14 August.

Designs have been progressed for Overpool Road between the Sutton Way roundabout and Overpool Rail Station. The Council is now asking for thoughts on these proposals.

There is a survey, available with plans and images, to view online until Sunday 17 August 2025. Responses from the survey and drop in sessions will help to assess local support for each proposal before moving forward.

Councillor Karen Shore, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member Transport and Highways (including waste) said:

The Council wants to make active travel a natural and convenient choice for more residents, with proposed improvements for Overpool Road to enable safer, comfortable and efficient active journeys. The route was identified through previous consultation for the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan which sets out walking and cycling networks to be developed in the borough.
