Non-residential care

Overview

Non-residential care refers to care services provided in your own home or in the community. They are services that help you remain living independent in the community.

There are many different types of non-residential care services including home care, supported living, extra care housing services, day care, technology and equipment to support you at home.

Some people have a mixture of services, but others may have only one type of service.

If you are thinking of accessing care at home or any other community services, please talk it through with Adult Social Care first. They will discuss your circumstances and will advise of your options and may be able to help you make decisions in relation to your care needs.
