Residential and nursing care

Overview

Residential and nursing care refers to care provided to you in a residential or nursing care home either on a temporary or permanent basis.

If you are thinking of moving into a care home, please talk it through with Adult Social Care first. They will discuss your options and may be able to help you make that decision.

Care home fees cover all accommodation costs, utility costs, food, social activities and care costs. They also cover staff wages and all the other associated business costs of running a care home.
