Summer Reading Challenge and Mini Reading Challenge

For 2025 we're off on an adventure into nature and the Story Garden. Children are encouraged to read six books (or set their own target), over the holidays. There are stickers to collect along the way and we've lots of fantastic activities to take part including: animal handling, guest storytellers, science experiments, digital fun and tons of crafts!

Once completed all 4 to 12 year olds will get a medal and a certificate and under 4s will get a special gold sticker too.

To sign up visit your local library or register to take part online.

Those who complete the Summer Reading Challenge will automatically be entered into a prize draw:

• 0-3 years can win a cuddly Gruffalo
• 4-12 years can win a fantastic Bug Hotel
