• Pre-submission advice and meetings to ensure when you submit your application the assessment process runs smoothly.
• Through the LABC Partnership scheme we can act as your single point of contact for submitting Building Control applications anywhere in England and Wales. If you are interested in becoming an official LABC partner with us you will need to complete the online form to ask us for more information on becoming a partner with our Building Control teams (construction professionals only).
• Fast initial appraisal of your application (often within five working days).
• If you are looking to get a quotation for a proposed scheme, you can contact us by using the general enquires form below. You will need to provide us with a copy of your proposed plans and we will provide you with a competitive quotation within 48 hours.

Hourly rate for Building Control support to the Building Safety Regulator

Please note that this rate is applicable from Sunday 1 October 2023.

We are defined as a relevant authority under the Building Safety Act 2022. As such we are required to publicly advertise our hourly rate for where the Building Safety Regulator makes a request or direction under Section 13 of the Building Safety Act for the expertise and/or assistance of our building control service to support or facilitate the fulfilment of an activity under any of the relevant charging scheme schedules.

Our hourly rate for 2023/24 in these instances is £97.17.

Notice of Completion

It is the homeowners/named applicants responsibility to inform the authority of completion of work within five days.

At the time of Completion, the regulations require a signed statement from the homeowner, principal contractors, and principal designer (where necessary) confirming that, to the best of your knowledge, the work complies with all applicable requirements of the building regulations.

To assist you in meeting your obligations we have created a form for you to complete and return before you arrange your completion inspection.
