Scheme being withdrawn
We are no longer accepting Travelcard applications. This is due to aging technology and low customer usage of the scheme as many residents opt to purchase travel tickets direct from bus operators.
Deadlines for withdrawal of the scheme:
- after 31 January 2023 you will no longer be able to top up your Travelcard
- after 28 February 2023 Travelcards will no longer be accepted as payment on any bus services
- before 31 March 2023 you must request a refund for balances remaining on the Travelcard. Applications for refunds will only be accepted if received, up to and including this date. No late requests will be processed as the technology to read cards will no longer be operational after this date
How do you request a refund?
If you have a balance remaining on your Travelcard, please call the helpline number on 01244 973353 to request a refund form, which you will need to complete and return to us with your Travelcard.
Please note: refunds can only be provided if your Travelcard is returned to us with the completed refund form.
We cannot take responsibility for cards that are lost in the post. We recommend you carefully consider the balance you think you have in relation to the costs of using recorded delivery when posting a card with a credit balance.
