Get help to take your bins out
If you are unsure of your collection day, you can find out on our bin collection page.
Residents who experience difficulties in placing their bins and boxes out for collection and do not have anyone to assist them can request help.
Before you apply
To be eligible, all residents of a household aged 16 or over must be unable to place bins and containers out at the kerbside.
If your application is approved
When applications are approved, the assistance service will commence on the normal scheduled collection day usually one week after the date of request.
For an assisted collection to take place, all containers must be left visible and accessible for collection in an agreed location by 7am on collection day.
If your application is unsuccessful
If your application is unsuccessful you must place your bins and containers out for collection by 7am on your normal collection day.

Please note: We cannot offer assisted service for residents isolating due to coronavirus. Residents are asked to continue placing their containers at the kerbside for emptying, ensuring they follow the social distancing guidance.

When and where do I place my containers out for collection?
Containers are to be placed at the edge of the customer's property, unless assisted service is provided. Containers need to be available for emptying from 7am on the scheduled day of collection.
