How can my organisation apply for the Community Investment Fund
Cheshire West and Chester Council will be using a digital platform ‘Plinth’ to manage Community Investment Fund grant applications, evaluations, awarding and aspects of impact reporting.
The Community Investment Fund grant application form can be found on Plinth (via link on the webpage). The application form must be fully completed and all required documents uploaded at the time of submission.
The Community Investment Fund will open for applications in a phased approach. Please see below timeframes and priorities for the upcoming application windows. Please note further dates and priorities will be released in future.
Strong Start- Inclusive Communities and Opportunities:
- Children and young people with SEND can participate fully in their communities;
- Increased school readiness for children with emerging additional needs;
- Improved parental confidence and resilience;
- Improved inclusion in education, leisure and community activities.
Healthy & Independent Living- Employment, Skills & Financial Wellbeing:
- Volunteering opportunities that help people build meaningful relationships and reduce loneliness;
- Activities that enable people to give back and feel valued;
- Life skills support.
Financial and Community Resilience- Personal and financial Resilience:
- Earlier access to support before problems reach crisis point;
- Improved digital inclusion and access to online services.
Strong Start- Giving every child the best start in life:
- Strengthen parenting skills, confidence and capacity;
- Enhance children and young people's educational achievement and aspirations;
- Promote positive emotional wellbeing and resilience in children and young people.
Healthy & Independent Living- Improving Health and Wellbeing:
- Peer support networks;
- Wellbeing groups;
- Self-management programmes;
- Participate in community activities,
Financial and Community Resilience - Family Resilience:
- Support for families to meet essential costs;
- Increased access to practical; emotional and peer support.
