Community Investment Fund
What are the Community Investment Fund Priorities
The Community Investment Fund will support local projects that meet community needs and help deliver the fund’s priorities. This may include projects that improve wellbeing, support people earlier, help residents stay independent, reduce financial hardship, bring people together or make communities more resilient.
The Community Investment Fund priority themes are as follows:
- Strong Start (Children and Families)
- Healthy and Independent Living (Adults)
- Financial and Community Resilience
The priorities have been aligned against:
- the CWC Borough Plan 2024–28 (Borough Plan 2024-2028 | Cheshire West and Chester Council)
- the Adult Social Care Strategy – Enabling Great Lives (ASC-Strategy-Brochure)
- the Cheshire West and Chester Health & Wellbeing Strategy – Our Place Plan for the Borough 2026–31 (Cheshire West Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2026-31)
The Community Investment Fund will incorporate a proportion of Crisis and Resilience Fund which aims to meet the below outcomes:
- Reduced experiences of material deprivation;
- Reduced need for emergency food parcels;
- Increased access to appropriate and quality advice services;
- Increased savings;
- Reduction in priority debt;
- Maximisation of individuals’ incomes;
- Decreased need for Crisis Payments and Housing Payments.
