Commission on the future of Adult Social Care

Call for evidence

The Future of Adult Social Care Commission has asked for local people, partners and care providers to share any evidence that the Commission should consider. You can get involved right now by sharing your views and ideas - big and small - by emailing FutureOfSocialCare@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

Contributions include:

A growing movement of people with a shared commitment to bring about major positive change in what is currently called social care. It's for those who want to take part in imagining, communicating and creating together a future where what we currently call social care makes a major contribution to everyone's wellbeing and which, as a result, will enjoy high levels of public - and hence political - support.

A Radical New Vision For Social Care - A lecture that Hilary Cottam gave to the Health Foundation on whether the pandemic presents a real chance to re-imagine and re-organise how we care for one another

The Government's Adult Social Care Reform white paper. This white paper sets out a 10-year vision for adult social care and provides information on funded proposals that the Government will implement over the next three years.

Healthcare Cheshire West collect comments from local people and consider information about how well services are performing. They have shared a range of their reports with the Commission, including an integration index that measures how well local services are providing integrated care, their regular report on local perceptions of care and health services across Cheshire West and individual care home survey reports.
