Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations Performance Statistics
This page publishes annual statistics about the Council’s performance in handling requests for information made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
The information shows how many requests the Council receives, how quickly those requests are responded to, and how often information is withheld in line with the legislation. It also includes data on internal reviews requested by applicants who are dissatisfied with the Council’s response.
The statistics are presented by financial year and are compiled in line with the Information Commissioner’s Office guidance on reporting performance in handling requests for information. They are intended to promote transparency, support accountability, and provide assurance about how the Council meets its statutory duties.
The Council publishes these statistics annually. Request handling performance is monitored throughout the year for operational and governance purposes, but only complete and finalised data is published to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Figures relate to valid requests handled under freedom of information and environmental information legislation and do not include subject access requests for personal data or routine service enquiries.
