News, Resources and Opportunities

Triumph Together

Triumph Together is an ambitious new community‑led programme designed to support care‑experienced young people through mentoring, skills development, and positive community connections.

What the programme does

Triumph Together brings together a diverse network of volunteer mentors and trainers who will offer their time, skills, and encouragement to help young people gain confidence, develop practical abilities, and build supportive relationships. The programme has been shaped collaboratively, with a steering group made up of one‑third care leavers to ensure lived experience is at its heart.

Opportunities

Triumph Together offers flexible opportunities. Mentors and trainers can come from any background, with different skills, interests and personalities. We work hard at matching young people and volunteers well so that it is rewarding for everyone. As a young person, your goal may be very specific or quite general. You may want help for a specific time or task, or you may be looking for connection and people you know within the community to give support over a longer time. As a volunteer you may be able to offer regular mentoring 1-1 or specific skills training such as mechanics, cooking, gardening, music, or in leadership skills.

Other benefits of the programme

The programme also empowers care‑experienced young people to step into leadership roles. Training opportunities will be available for those wishing to gain the Young Leader Award, helping them build confidence and leadership skills.
