Nicholas Street Viaduct Inspection
A detailed inspection is continuing underneath the Nicholas Street Viaduct - 10 railway closures will be needed from 17 January 2026.

Winsford Station Bridge investigation
Investigation works to Winsford Station Bridge are due to begin in July 2026. The next phase of work will take place on the top of the bridge (road level) and will require a lane closure and diversion to allow the works to be carried out safely.
Ellesmere Port active travel routes
Work on new active travel routes start in January to provide improved walking, wheeling and cycling links connecting Ellesmere Port railway station into the heart of the town centre.
