Support that works for you

Wellbeing support

We offer a housing related support service in Cheshire West and Chester to help you remain living independently in your own home.

We want to work with you to provide services that positively impact your life. Our friendly wellbeing team are always on hand to chat about the support options that are available and can help to connect you to support in the local community if and when you may need it.

Our Wellbeing Service focuses supporting you in a number of different ways including:

  • health and wellbeing (physical and mental health support, home adaptions, loneliness and isolation)
  • financial wellbeing (managing or reducing debt, maximising your income, budgeting and bills, increasing your skills and employment opportunities)
  • tenancy support (at risk of losing your home for financial reasons or through breaching your tenancy agreement)
  • maintaining your home (fire safety, domestic violence support, anti-social behaviour, hoarding)

If you’re a Cheshire West and Chester Council tenant and need extra support you can also reach out to the Lifeline service.

Lifeline is also known as technology enabled care, this is a service which enables people to remain safe and independent in their own home and supports people to remain at home for longer.

Lifeline can also support Carers with support and assurance when they are caring for their loved ones.

Examples of technology include (but is not limited to):

  • specialist apps to support those with autism and learning disabilities
  • falls sensors and personal pendants
  • room sensors
  • epilepsy watches
  • medication dispensers
  • routine prompts and aids devices
  • household technologies to enable those living with a memory impairment to avoid situations of risk

The technology installed is linked to an Alarm Receiving Centre, which is staffed 24 hours a day, all year round. The Alarm Receiving Centre provides support and a point of contact remotely, which can offer reassurance to residents/ Carers during times of emergency.

If you’d like to find out more information about any of the above, please get in touch with us.
