Gypsies and Travellers

Below is a list of unauthorised encampments in the Cheshire and Warrington area. These are shown by Council area.

Each unauthorised encampment is given a name based on where it was first reported. The exact location of the encampment may be somewhere nearby. Similarly, there may be a slightly different number of caravans reported when the group first arrive. There is a procedure for dealing with encampments and the information is updated as this progresses. If you have checked the list below and want to tell us about a new encampment, please use our reporting form.

Warrington

Cheshire West and Chester

Blue Planet Aquarium, Ellesmere Port

• Arrived: 7 November 2025
• Current Status: Landowner to make decision
• Notes: Council-owned land; 1 caravan

Aldi, Ellesmere Port

• Arrived: 7 November 2025
• Current Status: The group have now left the location
• Notes: Council-owned land; 1 caravan
