  • Garden volunteers
    Join our friendly group of gardening enthusiasts in the library community garden, 2pm - 3pm.
  • Storytime
  • 3.30pm - 4pm, weekly. All ages welcome
  • Help with homework
    4pm - 7pm.
  • Craft and Chat
    6pm - 7pm, weekly. Session includes knitting, tapestry work and other forms of needlecraft. Come along and get tips and advice from fellow group members.

  • Weaver Vale Housing Trust - Employment Horizons
    Drop in sessions for Weaver Vale tenants on Thursdays, 2.30pm - 5pm - help is provided with building CVs, filling in applications forms and preparing for interviews.
  • Story and rhymetime
    2.30pm - 3pm.
  • Garden volunteers
    Join our friendly group of gardening enthusiasts in the library community garden, 2pm - 3pm.
  • Family history advice
    Get help with all things genealogical from our family history volunteer on Thursday mornings (please contact the library to make an appointment).

    11am - 12pm, weekly.

Other services available at your library


 An emergency defibrillator is available, externally, by the front door of the library.

Customer Services

iConnect Kiosks enable you to see and speak to a Customer Services advisor about specific Council services. The kiosk also allows you to make enquiries, exchange documents and fill out forms for different council services. These range from concessionary travel (e.g. blue badges) to benefits, registration services to bin collections, parking to environmental health issues.

Home Library Service

The Home Library Service is available to anyone who cannot easily visit a library due to disability or incapacity. Volunteers deliver books or talking books on a regular basis, free of charge. Do you know anyone who could make use of this service? We can help. Or do you have a few hours spare to volunteer? For further information, please contact the library.

Where is the library? How do I get there?

Coming from Northwich on the A533, after approximately four miles turn right into Beech Lane, by the Beech Tree Hotel. At the T-junction turn right into Townfield Lane, and the library is on the right, next to Rosebank School.

Public transport
There is a regular bus service every 15 minutes from Northwich.

There is a free car park at the back of the library.

Disabled parking
There is one disabled parking space in the library car park.
