Nicholas Street Viaduct Inspection
A detailed inspection is continuing underneath the Nicholas Street Viaduct - 10 railway closures will be needed from 17 January 2026.

Work is now underway to install a new controlled crossing on Hadlow Road where it meets the Wirral Way.
Ellesmere Port active travel routes
Work on new active travel routes start in January to provide improved walking, wheeling and cycling links connecting Ellesmere Port railway station into the heart of the town centre.
