Where/when can I use the pass?
The pass is only valid on participating bus services as long as the journey is within, starts, or ends in Cheshire West and Chester. The pass can also be used on itravel bus services.
The passes are valid to use at any time, including evenings and weekends.

Where can't I use the pass?
You cannot use the travel pass on:
- trains
- contracted school buses
- park and ride

Why are we targeting 16-19 year olds?
The 16-19 age range is a key stage in a young person's life. Many are moving into further education, apprenticeships, training, employment and greater independence, often requiring more frequent and longer-distance travel.
The travel pass aims to make public transport more affordable at a time when travel needs can increase significantly. By helping young people access opportunities, the scheme supports education, employment, social inclusion and independent travel, while encouraging sustainable transport choices.
Disabled persons bus pass
While NextGenTravel provides a discount on bus fares, there may be other options better suited to those with disabilities, such as a disabled persons bus pass.
