Children's social care data

Local councils have a legal responsibility to collect, quality assure and submit a range of children’s social care datasets to the Department for Education (DfE) each year. This information helps build a national picture of how children’s services are working, supports policy development and ensures organisations are held accountable for improving outcomes for children and families.
