A statutory collection capturing information about all child & family social workers employed in each local authority, including agency staff. It is conducted annually. Covers:
- Numbers of social workers (FTE & headcount)
- Starters and leavers
- Absence
- Turnover
- Caseload
- Agency usage
- Salary and role-level details (updated in 2026 guidance)·
Period: 1 October – 30 September annually.
