4.7.4 Bollards and railings

MUST

Plastic bollards must not be used. They are prone to damage, weathering, and discolouration and can undermine the quality and character of streets.

SHOULD

In town and local centres, traditional cast iron or timber bollards should be used.

SHOULD

In villages and rural areas, Cheshire railings and timber bollards should be used.
