4.7.5 Streetlights

SHOULD

Lighting should be located every 15 to 25m on high streets, every 20 to 30m on residential streets and every 20 to 30m on segregated footpaths and cycleways.

MUST

In town centres and conservation areas, lighting must be a “heritage” lantern style.

SHOULD

Lighting columns should be metal.
