6.7.2 Meter boxes

SHOULD

Meter boxes should be ground-level units and they should be concealed behind a bin store or by planting.

MUST

On detached or semi-detached houses, meter boxes must not be mounted on the street facing elevation.

SHOULD

When sited at the front of a house, meter boxes should not be sited immediately adjacent to the front door.
