Ofsted provide a pre-registration presentation which explains the reason for registration, who is involved and the process of registration. This presentation can be accessed via their website.
If you decide you want to go ahead to registration you are required to complete a paediatric first aid course which has to be completed at the point of registration.The paediatric first aid course can be accessed either from the council’s quality learning partners or through an Ofsted accredited private training provider.
Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY)
The course is an online course costing £190 and includes all assessment and registration fees, plus all learners receive a free textbook written by the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).
Once you’ve signed up, you can access the PACEY course as and when you want to and complete at your own pace. You will be given a submission date which will be three months after you begin the course.
