Please note: We are currently experiencing a large number of visitors at local recycling centres. Only visit the sites if your journey is essential. Please be aware that sites close promptly at 4pm and there will be no entry after this time. You may be turned away before 4pm to allow those on the sites to dispose of their waste safely and correctly.
Recycling centre winter opening times start from Friday 1 October 2021 to Thursday 31 March 2022.
Road signs have been placed outside Northwich, Chester, Winsford and Ellesmere Port recycling centres which display estimated site queuing times. Social distancing rules are still in place at the recycling centres. Please remember to sort out your recycling into different materials at home. This will be quicker for you to recycle correctly when you go to your nearest recycling site.
Proof of residency
- residents must accompany their waste to the recycling centre, regardless of who is transporting it
- hired or unmarked vans may need to provide proof of residency before being granted permission to use the site
- residents will be required to provide proof of residency on request (this should be in the form of a utility bill, bank statement or drivers licence)
It is important that site users understand what is expected of them and what standard of service they can receive in return. More information can be found on our code of conduct page.
Please be aware that access to the recycling sites may be restricted if you are unable to provide proof of residency.
Opening times for each recycling centre differ, so please view your centre's page to view the details.
