The Housing Payment scheme provides financial one off or short term support towards housing costs such as a rent shortfall, moving costs or rent in advance/deposit. 

To be eligible for this support, you must be receiving either Housing Benefit or the Universal Credit Housing Costs Element.

Discretionary Hardship Payments

The Discretionary Hardship Payment scheme provides short term support towards a shortfall between your Council Tax liability and your award for Council Tax Reduction.

To be eligible for this support, you must be receiving Council Tax Reduction
