Housing related support

Support available

People may need support with issues such as budgeting, life skills, drug, or alcohol misuse, avoiding offending, or managing their home. Support can be provided wherever someone is living, and this is often known as floating support.

In Cheshire West and Chester, our Homelessness Support Service provides practical help for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The team can support with accessing accommodation, maintaining a tenancy, managing finances, linking into specialist services, and improving safety and stability. Support is tailored to each person’s needs to help them work towards longer‑term housing.

Forum Housing now delivers the Rough Sleeping Outreach Service on behalf of the Council. The Forum Outreach Team works across the borough to identify and support people who are sleeping rough, helping them access safe accommodation, health services and other support to move away from the streets.
