The easiest way to pay is by Direct Debit. If you have already set up payment by Direct Debit this will continue automatically and no action is required.

Pay your Council Tax
You can set up a standing order though your bank. The details you will need to set this up are:
- Sort code 30-91-92
- Account number 02895329
- Your council tax account reference number
Pay at a Post Office
You can pay over the counter at any Post Office. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or debit card. You will need your bill, as it has a barcode that the Post Office will need to scan.
Pay using PayPoint
You can pay at a local shop or supermarket that displays a PayPoint sign. Remember to bring along your bill, as it has a barcode that will be scanned at the PayPoint outlet.
Pay by phone
You can pay with most debit and credit cards using our 24 hour payment line: 0300 123 7029.
Council Tax bills are paid in 10 monthly instalments as standard. You can request to pay in weekly or 12 monthly instalments, however the number of instalments available to you will depend on when you contact us to make the change.
A new option offered this year is also pay in 10 monthly instalments, excluding the months July and December. Contact the Council Tax team for more details.
