Report a Council Tax change of address

If you have changed address or have bought or sold a property in the Cheshire West and Chester area, you need to tell us. This form should be completed in the following circumstances:
- moving within the area
- landlords or owners notifying of new residents or tenants
- moving into the area from out of the area
- vacating a property in our area
If you are letting or renting a property, please don’t assume the tenant or landlord has notified us of the details. It is better to have two notifications than none and avoid possible large backdated balances.
Report a change of address
If you are currently claiming a discount or exemption and there are changes within your household, you need to report a change of circumstances.
If you are receiving Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction you will need to report any change immediately to the benefits team, who will then let us know.
