Postal votes

Royal Mail has advised of the following dates for industrial action by its staff:

  • Wednesday, 30 November
  • Thursday, 1 December

It is likely that no mail, including returned postal votes, will be delivered on these dates. Therefore we are encouraging all postal voters to return their completed voting pack as soon as possible.

If you haven't posted your vote before Monday 28 November, Royal Mail has recommended that you post your completed postal voting pack at post boxes located outside post offices within the City of Chester constituency.

If you are concerned that your postal vote may not reach us in time for polling day on Thursday 1 December for whatever reason, there are a number of alternatives:

Use a local library

You can drop off your completed postal voting pack at a local library, within their opening hours, until Wednesday 30 November. The libraries providing this service are:

Deliver to Chester HQ

You can also drop off your completed postal voting pack at Chester HQ, 58 Nicholas Street, Chester, CH1 2NP until 5pm on Thursday 1 December.

At a polling station on polling day

You can also bring your completed postal voting pack to a polling station on Thursday, 1 December.
